What does ‘Panzer Vor’ mean?

The phrase ‘Panzer Vor’ was popularised by the anime series titled ‘Girls und Panzer’, published by Media Factory. The series is based on the concept of high school girls taking part in school sports style competitions using World War II era tanks. 

In the series the characters perform many school type activities with their armoured vehicles, of which the most popular is “Sensha-do” or “Way of the Tank”. This involves the method and style of operating the vehicles and is considered a martial art in the series.
